NOBE Becomes Metro’s Construction Partner for the Eedu Campus Project

The general construction contract for the Eedu Education and Business Campus has been signed with the construction company NOBE. The recently signed agreement amounts to €69 million.

The time-consuming groundwork phase of the Eedu campus is nearing completion, and in just 15 months, one will be able to walk on the 30th floor of the building. After that, approximately one more year remains until the project’s final completion.

At the contract signing, EBS Chancellor Mart Habakuk explained that within a few years, the capital will gain a unique campus that integrates education, business, and residential environments. “The campus creates diverse opportunities for learning, working, and leisure. The high-rise section of Eedu is designed as a residential building, with future residents expected to include a significant number of active entrepreneurs, investors, and executives. The campus will feature numerous rental workspaces, co-working areas, sports facilities, relaxation zones, and event spaces—places where experience meets ambition, fostering new and ambitious ventures,” added Habakuk.

The construction of the campus is being carried out by NOBE, a company with extensive experience in executing complex construction projects. Priit Nigols, NOBE’s Construction Director and Board Member, described the project as both challenging and extraordinary, with hundreds of people contributing to its completion.
“This project sets new standards in architecture, energy efficiency, and space utilization. Our goal is to create a high-quality, sustainable building that supports innovation and serves the Eedu community for decades to come,” Nigols explained. Under NOBE’s leadership, the underground floors and the building’s structural framework are currently under construction on-site.

The Eedu campus will be a one-of-a-kind landmark in many ways. It will have three underground floors, making it the deepest and one of the tallest residential buildings in Tallinn. In addition, the construction will incorporate innovative technologies, such as climbing formwork, allowing for faster construction of tall and complex structures.

The new building will be connected to EBS’s existing campus via a gallery, making it an integral part of the Eedu Education and Business Campus. The university’s available space will double, significantly enhancing collaboration and learning opportunities beyond traditional classrooms.

Floors 7 to 30 of the high-rise will house up to 140 apartments, ranging in size from 55 m² to 250 m². The interior design for these apartments has been created by ARGUS Studio, whose notable projects include the Park Hotel Viljandi and the Estonian embassies in London and Paris.
Apartment sales have begun, and interest in these uniquely conceptualized living spaces has been exceptionally high.

The total volume of the new development is 37,000 m². The architectural design is by the renowned Finnish firm ALA Architects, in collaboration with PIN Architects. The project is being developed by EBS in partnership with Metro (Metro Capital OÜ).
