Metro Introduces a New Urban Hub Rising in the Heart of Tallinn

As a collaboration between Estonian Business School and Metro, a new and unique educational and business hub, Eedu, is emerging in the heart of Tallinn. This development seamlessly integrates education, entrepreneurship, and a high-quality living environment. Metro partner Madis Brjantsev explains what Eedu Apartments are all about and how they create a fertile ground for new ideas and ventures.

“Residents will become part of a unique community where daily interactions with like-minded individuals foster synergy and inspire new ventures. Eedu is not just a place to live—it’s a space where people create and develop something new,” explains Brjantsev.

A Home Office That’s Not in Your Apartment

He adds that the concept of Eedu Apartments is designed for those who value a high-quality living environment but seek more than a traditional residential building can offer. “Residents will have access to the Eedu Library, where they can work in a relaxed atmosphere—even in their house slippers. They can participate in the Eedu Accelerator, which supports startup development, and take part in innovation and entrepreneurship training sessions.”

Additionally, the hub offers the option to rent quiet spaces for deep work or meetings, creating an environment where life and work exist in natural symbiosis.

“Our goal is to offer a holistic lifestyle where home is not just a place to live but an environment that supports personal growth and fosters entrepreneurship. This is a place where new ideas are born, and where entrepreneurs and visionaries can learn from each other and collaborate,” says Brjantsev.

Thus, Eedu is not just a residential or workplace—it is a social and professional growth hub where networking, community building, and collaboration happen organically. Living in Eedu Apartments is a lifestyle that encourages growth and creativity.

“We are not just creating square meters; we are shaping a valuable living environment. Fortunately, Estonian real estate development is also moving in this direction,” Brjantsev notes.

The Tallest Residential Building in the Capital!

Eedu Apartments will be located in Tallinn’s tallest residential building, with apartments on floors 7 to 30. Each unit will have a balcony, adding spaciousness and allowing residents to enjoy city views.

The living spaces feature operable windows and an integrated cooling system by default, ensuring year-round comfort. Special attention has also been given to the selection of materials and the design of common areas, creating a dignified and high-quality living environment.

The building is designed by ALA Architects, an internationally renowned Helsinki-based architecture firm. One of ALA’s most recognized works is the Oodi Library in Helsinki. Their approach skillfully blends public space, culture, and unique architectural solutions, resulting in a remarkable spatial experience.

“The metropolitan elegance of Eedu perfectly complements Tallinn’s urban landscape. Its distinctiveness is accentuated by horizontal stone panels that gradually narrow and become lighter from the ground up, creating an impressive visual effect when viewed from a distance,” describes Brjantsev. The reflective glass façade blends seamlessly with the sky, making the building a memorable landmark in the cityscape.

Who Are the Residents of the Eedu Community?

According to Brjantsev, Eedu Apartments are primarily aimed at entrepreneurs and visionaries who seek an innovative and inspiring living environment. “The Eedu community consists of individuals who value quality, entrepreneurship, and networking opportunities. We especially welcome EBS alumni and students, as well as business-minded people who want to be part of a like-minded community,” he adds.

A Residential Building That Fosters Community

The idea behind Eedu was born from the ambition to create a space where education and entrepreneurship go hand in hand, providing residents with not just a home but opportunities for development and synergy. “It was important for us that Eedu is not just a residential building but a community where collaboration and idea exchange drive business growth,” emphasizes Brjantsev.

In the future, Eedu may evolve into a hub where innovative solutions and entrepreneurial advancement go hand in hand. Metro’s goal is to provide residents not just with a comfortable living environment but also with a platform where they can grow and bring their ideas to life.
