Estonian Business School (EBS) in cooperation with Metro (Metro Capital OÜ) has reached the next significant phase in the construction of the Eedu Education and Business Campus, where concrete works will soon begin. The development will include a structure with three underground floors and thirty floors above ground. The main contractor selected for the project is NOBE, a construction company specializing in concrete works with nearly 25 years of experience.
According to EBS Chancellor Mart Habakuk, the large-scale construction works of the Eedu Education and Business Campus have reached a point where excavation works are nearing completion and the construction of load-bearing structures will follow. “We are pleased to collaborate with such an experienced builder as NOBE in this complex and extensive project. The future A-class energy efficiency building will reach its full height of 105 meters in spring 2026,” said Habakuk.
NOBE’s Construction Director and Board Member Priit Nigols emphasized that the high-rise building of the Eedu Education and Business Campus represents an exceptional and exciting construction challenge for NOBE. “The world-class architectural solution and close cooperation with the client create a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of a new landmark in downtown Tallinn. In this project, we are implementing innovative construction methods new to Estonia – such as an innovative climbing formwork system that allows for significantly faster construction of load-bearing structures compared to traditional solutions,” explained Nigols.
In the complex being developed through collaboration between EBS and Metro Capital, the existing EBS academic building will be connected to the new development via a gallery. The new space will feature modern collaboration areas, office spaces for young companies, venues for various events including conferences, food service establishments, and exclusive apartments on floors 9-30, the sales of which will fund the development of the Eedu Education and Business Campus. The project’s total area is 37,000 m2.
The architectural design is by the internationally acclaimed Finnish architectural firm ALA Architects, whose notable works include the Helsinki Oodi Library and the new terminal at Vantaa Airport.
